RECENT FEDERAL INDICTMENT OF MR. CICILLINE.
PROVIDENCE, RI - On Friday January 5th, 2007, democrat Christopher Young, candidate for
Mayor of Providence in 2010, stated:
"I'm asking for David Cicilline to resign his position as Mayor of Providence because of the air
of organized crime's influence over the city of Providence that these indictments create both
locally and nationally. This air pollutes the city and sickens its people, a people who deserve
better and have yearned to become free of this type of corruption."
Candidate Young recieved 26% of the vote in the 2006 election for Mayor of Providence.
