enero, 2007, Christopher Young del demócrata, candidato al alcalde del Providence en 2010,
indicado: Estoy pidiendo David Cicilline dimitir su posición como alcalde del Providence
debido a el aire de la influencia del crimen organizado sobre la ciudad del Providence que
estas acusaciones crean localmente y nacionalmente. Este aire contamina la ciudad y se
pone enfermo a su gente, una gente que merece mejor y ha anhelado llegar a ser libre de
este tipo de corrupción. Candidate Young recieved 26% of the vote in the 2006 election for
Mayor of Providence.
