Reply Brief of Christopher Young
Rhode Island Supreme Court Decision
BELOW ARE LINKS TO THE BRIEFS
FILED BY CHRIS YOUNG.

CHRIS'S MAIN POINTS IN HIS BRIEF'S ARE THAT THE STATE MAY NOT REDEFINE MARRIAGE
BECAUSE MARRIAGE IS A RELIGIOUS TERM PROTECTED UNDER THE 1ST AMENDMENT, THE
GOVERNMENT MAY NOT INFRINGE UPON RELIGIOUS FREEDOM AND THE COURT HAS NO
STATUTORY JURISDICTION TO PERMIT SAME SEX MARRIAGE.  ALSO THE LEGISLATURE MAY
NOT ADDRESS THE MARRIAGE ISSUE BECAUSE IT WOULD INFRINGE UPON RELIGIOUS FREEDOM
UNDER COURT PRECEDENT.  THE SUPREME COURT USED MANY OF CHRIS'S ARGUMENTS IN
IT'S TREMENDOUSLY JUST DECISION IN DEFENSE OF THE CONSTITUTION.  It is important to note
that Chris received no media coverage even though his brief had the main arguments on statutory
jurisdiction.

Amici Brief of Christopher Young
Chris stated, "It has been difficult for many to see why I would take this position in defense of man and
woman marriage, to those I truly hope they will read my briefs.  A true leader will not be persuaded by the will
of the masses but will stand on the truth and by the founding documents of our great nation.  The law is still
clear in this case.  At times, although these times are surely fewer based on social injustices, the
constitutional rights of the majority need protection as well.  A true leader will not be afraid to defend the truth."
