EDUCATION REFORM - "The state has taken over Hope High.
The state’s involvement into Hope has been beneficial;
however, the city, and more specifically David Cicilline and
many of my opponents, after years in office, have failed to offer
basic infrastructure needs to Hope High School. The
Providence school budget has been funded only to the bare
minimum required by state law. This flat funding takes no
Providence school system. People move to a city for it's
schools, and many of them are failing in Providence. Central
High School still has lost its accreditation. How will this affect
property values in the future? Our libraries staff throughout
Providence have also been cut, as well as library hours, yet
many of my opponents remained silent.
